What is the I.V. Tag-A-Long?
I.V. Tag-A-Long is a solution that reduces risks and costs associated with Intra-hospital patient transfers.
I.V. Tag-A-Long gives your nurses a third arm and enables your beds and wheelchairs to lend a helping hand!
The I.V. Tag-A-Long system permanently attaches to your wheelchairs, stretchers, and beds and securely holds the floor-standing I.V. pole. Once attached, the the patient and the I.V. pole are ready to go. The floor-standing pole and all attached equipment automatically travel with the patient, eliminating the need for additional personnel accompany the patient just to move equipment and eliminating the possibility of the I.V. pole falling over. When not in use, the device locks into a convenient, unobtrusive storage position.

PROTECTS ASSETS:
Prevents I.V. poles from falling over and causing costly damage to valuable equipment attached.
Patients with I.V.s are frequently mobilized within the hospital using wheelchairs, stretchers, and beds. Much of the time, the patient is transferred with the wheeled, freestanding I.V. pole in tow. Navigating hallways, corners, and elevator transitions is difficult as the I.V. pole must controlled to keep it close to the patient and prevented from falling over. In most hospitals, the solution is to have additional staff aid with the transfer just to manage the equipment. I.V. Tag-A-Long is a new solution and a better alternative that can save you many thousands of dollars by eliminating intra-hospital patient transfer costs.
Though many wheelchairs, stretchers, and beds have I.V. poles mounted, the reality is they not always used, especially for critical care patients. Ask any nurse. They will tell you the bed mounted pole is too weak for the amount of equipment and it takes too much time to move all of the equipment from the free-standing pole to the bed-mounted pole. That's why I.V. poles have wheels. Free-standing, wheeled I.V. poles are used more frequently than the bed and wheelchair mounted poles are used.
Caregivers have also been known to remove I.V. equipment and monitors from the free-standing pole and place the equipment in the bed with the patient. This practices introduces unacceptable risk to the patient and the equipment.
The I.V. Tag-A-Long solution eliminates all of the risks associated with these common practices. Caregivers simply secure the free-standing I.V. pole to the wheelchair, bed, or stretcher and go.
